of Bochy

Bochy was more than a name—she was the heart behind it all.

Bochy was Carla Shellis' mother and the inspiration behind Bochy's. Her unwavering faith, compassionate spirit, and belief in the worth of every person continue to shape the heart of this ministry.

Her life reminds us that healing begins when people are seen, loved, and given hope. Every program, every partnership, and every person we serve carries forward the legacy she began.

A calling that became a mission.

Inspired by her mother's legacy and guided by God's calling, Carla Shellis founded Bochy's to create a place of safety and healing for women escaping exploitation. What began as one safe home has grown into a ministry reaching women, youth, and men and women overcoming incarceration and exploitation with practical tools, trusted relationships, and lasting support.
